AH – This was only a draft! So here goes a few days late!
Well, I am not looking forward to the AM. In the morning I need to grab a bit of breakfast and then take a little walk; I have to walk through the train station and then onto via nazionaile and then a right onto Via Gueffa, that turns into Via Degli Alfani to reach my final target of the Galleria dell’ Academia. This will be my last stop of a long weekend. I have seen the Fake David and now I have to finish with the real David. I did enjoy my time in Bologna. A few minutes and more with some friends then I was able to visit the museum to the First Western University.
I had the great opportunity to visit the classroom of professor Carducci when at the museum. In addition to the i got to see Plaza Majorie and the Neptune fountain and the towers of Bologna.
I have to say the Uffizi Gallery was beyond amazing as related to its art collection! The Botticelli, “Primavera” was amazing and the Birth of Venus, no less amazing! I always love the Ponte Vecchio, It is a great thing it survived WWII and the Arno Flood after that!
The pasta and beer to the right is a great way to end the night, I could make better pasta, but it would taste different in concord versus florence, something about the air I bet!
Pisa was great, I have to say, before you go read up on the history of the leaning tower – it will make your visit so much better
