So I am looking forward a bit – at next years travel plans. While I know I have; Japan, Madrid, and London on my list, I think it is time for a longer trip back to Lithuania in the spring. http://www.debeselis.net/ Is an online Lithuanian language school and it Appears to be very good. (Free) so I am suprised at the quality. That and the eurotalk dvd should have me ready to order beer and 999! how do they say MAK(slang for “CHug”).
I think the spring will be a great time to do a tour to the contry, the castle on the lake, Kaunas, etc… OK Back to coding SharePoint. Note: There are about 4 million lithuanian speakers in the world, 3 000 000 in Lithuania…. I hope to become the 4 000 001 speaker, well enough to get by, by the spring!
Well – You all know I do love Pretzels, and I enjoy beer and wine. So where do you go if you want this, Munich. I had the ability to see where hitler made some of his speeches, and a monument to those that died squelching his first attempt to take power. I did enjoy Audio walk Munich it did not let down on its claims:
Audiowalk Munich is a co-production of audible.de and just GmbH.
You’ll become acquainted with:
Hotel Bayerischer Hof
Am Platzl, Schuhbecks
Well, it was perfect so far. More later
AH – This was only a draft! So here goes a few days late!
Well, I am not looking forward to the AM. In the morning I need to grab a bit of breakfast and then take a little walk; I have to walk through the train station and then onto via nazionaile and then a right onto Via Gueffa, that turns into Via Degli Alfani to reach my final target of the Galleria dell’ Academia. This will be my last stop of a long weekend. I have seen the Fake David and now I have to finish with the real David. I did enjoy my time in Bologna. A few minutes and more with some friends then I was able to visit the museum to the First Western University.
I had the great opportunity to visit the classroom of professor Carducci when at the museum. In addition to the i got to see Plaza Majorie and the Neptune fountain and the towers of Bologna.
I have to say the Uffizi Gallery was beyond amazing as related to its art collection! The Botticelli, “Primavera” was amazing and the Birth of Venus, no less amazing! I always love the Ponte Vecchio, It is a great thing it survived WWII and the Arno Flood after that!
The pasta and beer to the right is a great way to end the night, I could make better pasta, but it would taste different in concord versus florence, something about the air I bet!
Pisa was great, I have to say, before you go read up on the history of the leaning tower – it will make your visit so much better
