With spring comes the traditional rebirth. This is important because it is during the spring that we do a bit more than BBQ or water the grass. In the spring we get to recharge our batteries a bit after the winter. Personally I find the spring to be the time to evaluate myself and come up with a list of things I want to accomplish. Much like Iterative software development the spring always represents a point release for me. A Little work on the interface, a little work on usability and of course removing some features that did not quite work the way they were intended. This spring is no different, one development is late and a couple more are stalled: I need to complete my ISD cert this summer and work harder on Latin and Italian.
For new features:
- Slow down mode – this new mode will add patience when someone is explaining something and to listen to the entire topic before forming any judgement.
- More Art mode – I find I do not sketch or paint enough, this year I will endeavor to do a new work of art every two weeks.
- More Music Mode – Need to play the piano – period.
- Increased workout mode – It occurs to me that to fully enjoy my life I need to stay healthy and to do this i need to up my health and endurance, one can not climb the hills of Rome if they are out of shape.
Getting Rid of:
Anything that takes away my focus of the things I love or enjoy in my life, things that are in the past are in the past and they must stay there and I will not recognize them any longer. An old friend once told me that life was an election of sorts and in this 2010 version of myself I am electing to have a great spring/summer.
As I said, you have to love the spring!
back to some C#
My Next stop is planned on my summer 2010 tour is planned. I am looking forward to seeing italy and Cairo
Last Day in Madrid and time to move on. It was a great day from many perspectives. One viewed at the right, a bright sun and deep blue sky, this is the type of sun you only see when visiting countries on the Mediterranean. In a hot day like today it is easy to enjoy a beer.
Visited the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid today and it was a pleasant visit. There was a good Visigoths exhibit as well as an Exhibit on Roman Era Spain. I combined this visit with a visit to Biblioteca Nacional and as it was on the opposite side of the aforementioned it was a nice stop.
I have to say that even though there were moments inside this was a day of the sun! I can only hope when I get back that the spring/summer has finally arrived. I think when I get back I will build a personal twitter client that treats followers (direct) messages like Friends in facebook. Better for Privacy!
Have a great day all…
Hola All –
Well today was a busy day, a 4+ hour walk around the city to make up for all of the workouts that I am missing. Madrid can be a Hike! Today was the Gran Via’s birthday – 100 years old. It was crazy. Have you ever been walking in one direction with 1000 people and met about 2000 coming the other way and have the crowd fight to see which direction the mass of people would go in?? If so you understand one of my experiences today.
The park was very hot today – sunburned my neck on the morning walk. In general it was good. I would like to think that I would have accomplished more on this trip — but I will not discount that I had Jamon Flavored Pringles and some great sopa!
Street Dancers were great and of course the street musicians. I discussed America with a few people and realized what a bad opinion many have about America. I do not understand it but I think it is a matter of education — no not apology speeches!
It appears that my flight back may be corrupted by the volcano “erutpdsjfrjrfjrgh” well if so maybe I can go to Tunis or Florence when I wait for the Ash to clear.
