Today is my last day before heading up the mountain and my last day with wireless until I come back down. I decided to spend my morning on a little tour of a nearby Maasai Village and a visit to the Obrien School. http://www.facebook.com/obrienschool
It was an adventure for sure and the little car that went off road was just as amazing, it is hard to imagine that the 40 dollars that people pay the driver could cover the damage that his car must suffer. I wore the garb, danced, and even tried to sing a bit. What I probably did best was take photos; they are on Facebook or on http://yonaitis.shutterfly.com/
The school was pretty amazing and I received warm greetings from the children in perfect English. They, the volunteers, told me that seven years ago there was no school – hard to imagine. Check out the school, may be a good place to volunteer.
So now I will lay low and relax, as tomorrow will be a busy day for sure. It will also be good to unplug and leave my computer behind and resort to pen and paper for all writing. It will be tough J
