It has been a while since I posted a trip plan here, on my blog, I have been a little too busy and having been busy I have not been able to plan the next trip – but it is decided, a Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek. The highest altitude I will be achieving is a little over 18,000 feet, this is less than the Kilimanjaro Summit last year. I will be entering from the Nepal side. I will be trekking a good six plus hours a day. It has the highest of strenuous rating possible – it will not be easy and the outcome when trekking like this is always in question. This is the kind of stuff I love!
So I have made a couple of promises to myself, time for getting back into seriously good shape, drop a twenty pound beer gut, and of course this means cutting out beer, wine, spirits unless it would be culturally incorrect when travelling to not partake. Dramatic Change in Diet, and run again. Facebook Friends do not worry, I will not post every time I work out!!
I have a little over 5 months to prepare, it is my goal to hit base-camp on my 50th Birthday, damn I am old!!! Well it should be a nice Christmas in Nepal. I am very excited for this, now it is time to work and earn it. I think I will have to climb all the 4000 footers and Washington a few times to get ready! Time to Apply for Visas and Flights need to be booked! Anyone want to come?
More to come.
